About ErgoNest
ErgoNest is an independent publication focused on ergonomic gear for the home office — standing desks, task chairs, monitor arms, and the accessories that turn a room into a workspace. We exist because the market is loud, and honest, methodical reviews are rare.
Who we are
Our editorial team is a small group of writers and researchers who have collectively spent 20,000+ hours at desks — freelancers, remote employees, and one former ergonomics consultant. We are all buyers of the products we cover.
How we test
- We buy or borrow. Products are either purchased at retail or borrowed on a return policy. We do not accept free samples in exchange for coverage.
- We test long. No product gets a verdict before 30 days of daily use.
- We measure. Where possible we use decibel meters, digital scales, tape measures, and a shared scoring rubric — not vibes.
- We re-test. Our buying guides are updated at least every 6 months so recommendations stay current.
How we make money
ErgoNest earns commissions when readers buy products through our affiliate links, primarily via the Amazon Associates Program. This is our only revenue source. It funds our testing costs (which are real) and keeps the site running.
Critically: commission rates do not influence which products we cover or rank higher. Our editorial and monetization decisions are separated. If a product is bad, we say so — even if we could earn on it.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction visibly at the top of the article. Email us if you spot an error.
